Deshun T. Martin
Some lawyers practice law. Deshun lives it. An Edwards-born Jacksonian with a B.A. from Jackson State and a J.D. from Ole Miss, Deshun began his career as a Special Assistant Attorney General, serving as special prosecutor and leading complex matters before founding Martin & Martin, P.A. His hallmark is relentless preparation—he doesn’t step into a deposition, mediation, or courtroom without a plan, a backup plan, and the will to outwork the other side. Clients know him as a straight talker who marries purpose with grit; opponents know they’ve been in a fight when he’s done. Above all, Deshun believes in people: listening first, advising clearly, and pursuing the just outcome with conviction.
Vaterria M. Martin
Vaterria is the calm in a storm and the advocate you want at your side. A proud Jackson native, JSU Magna Cum Laude graduate, and Ole Miss Law alum, she began her career in insurance defense before building a client-focused practice in personal injury and family law. She’s also served as a municipal court judge, legal consultant, and adjunct professor of business ethics—experience that shows in her measured counsel and empathetic advocacy. Clients trust Vaterria to make the law understandable, the process humane, and the strategy airtight. She leads with integrity, treats clients like family, and fights for outcomes that restore dignity and stability.
